An experiment in music.

My music taste has never made much sense.

I grew up in a small country town listening to country radio, then somehow released a hip-hop album when I was 19. #confused

Truth is, I've always loved all of it. Snoop Dogg to Zach Bryan. Punk rock to K-pop. Classical to EDM. If it's good, I'm in.

Back in the day, I filled binders with lyrics. My brother made the beats. Words were always my thing. Then life happened. Work, family, kids. The binders went into a box and that creative side of me mostly went quiet.

Now technology has opened some old doors, and I decided to walk back through them. The stories, ideas and lyrics still start with me. Some are new. Some come from those old binders. AI helps me work through ideas, push on lyrics, try different directions and keep iterating until something feels right. Then I use Suno to bring the song to life based on the style, tempo, energy and sound I'm hearing in my head.

I know AI in music is controversial. And I get it. Type one sentence, push a button and call yourself an artist? That's not really what interests me either. But using AI the way music has always used collaborators, writers, producers and musicians, with a real person, real ideas and real stories at the center? I think there's something pretty exciting there.

That's OLDAF. No genre. Not many rules.

Some songs will make you want to turn the volume up in the car. Some are funny. Some are personal. Some are completely random. A few might make you tear up a little. Sorry. I'm basically making songs I wish already existed. If you find one you love, steal it for your drive, your workout, your breakup, your road trip or whatever else you've got going on.
